War Decree / Enchanted Light Filly

Australia

The pick of the staying type fillies on our agents list, and after the success of our NZ horses in the 3 year old Classics we couldn't leave NZ without bringing home a nice staying type.

War Decree is one of those rare stallions who have been able overcome the odds by siring types without the backing of big books.

A particularly fast winner over 1400m at Gr.2 winner at Goodwood, the regally bred War Decree by Danzig's outstanding son War Front is a member of the same great stallions family as Storm Cat and Royal Academy.

Showing that he can sire a good one with his son Warmonger (bred on the same War Decree/Danehill cross as this filly) a runaway winner of the Gr.1 Queensland Derby and his daughters Val di Zoldo and Luvnwar both Group winners, War Decree has also sire seven stakes placed horses and 25 metropolitan winners.

A good effort considering his lack of numbers with half of his runners to date being at least city class!

A half-sister to the lightly raced winner Highlighted and the promising two-year-old Luminosity (a game second at her spring debut), this attractive filly is out of the unraced Enchanted Light whose multiple Gr.1 winning sire Darci Brahma proved to be an outstanding force with 12 Gr.1 winners amongst his 60 stakes winners.

And he has also been doing the job as a broodmare sire, his daughters already producing 16 stakes winners including the Gr.1 gallopers Ozzmosis, Pier and Transatlantic.

Enchanted Light is out of the excellent producer Fairy Lights, a lightly race Fairy King mare whose nine winners (from 11 to race) include the Gr.2 Hawke's Bay Guineas winner Keyora and the dual stakes winning Japanese galloper Roc de Cambes (sire of the Gr.1 winners He's Our Rokkii and Vin De Dance).

Fairy Lights' dam Gay Fantastic has also been a great success with ten of her 12 named foals being winners including the Group winners Moon Solitaire and Germano and the Listed winners Fantastic Don and Fantastic Bid.

This is a family represented by quality campaigners around the world, including the Gr.1 Metropolitan Handicap winner Sir John Hawkwood, the French Gr.1 winner Naaqoos, the European Champion Older Horse PIlsudski and the dual Gr.1 winning Japanese galloper Fine Motion.

Vetted up with A plus and all costings below include insurance, Karaka Million nomination, airfreight to Australia, and NZ studbook clearance and of course with the exchange rate we have her cheaper than is down on Sale price.

She will be arriving Sunday evening and will come straight to our farm for a couple of weeks before heading to the breaking in farm.

Sword of State / Lady Rain Colt

Australia

We are very excited to share  one of our Purchases from Karaka 2026. A Sword of State Colt by the Sacred Falls mare in Lady Rain. Sword of State is really making his presence felt already and was a stallion we really had earmarked to buy into at this years sales.

We loved this colt and he made our main list right from when we first found him on the days leading up to the sale. A big strong colt but with an incredible attitude, we think hes going to be a lovely three year old type as he furnishes but with the strength and style that may see him run some nice races as an Autumn two year old.

The 18th son of the four time Australian Champion Sire Snitzel to sire a stakes winner, the Gr.1 galloper Sword Of State has made such an exciting start to his stud career.

With his first yearlings creating a big impression at last year's sales, he has again been in demand this year - and little wonder with three smart winners amongst his first handful of runners.

And amongst that tally is the exciting youngster Torture, winner of the Listed Debutant stakes at his first start and a game third after finding trouble in the recent Karaka Millions 2Y0.

Also sire of the unbeaten Warwoven (scratched as hot favourite from the Magic Millions), Sword Of State (successful at six of his ten starts) has so much to offer and we are delighted to have secured this eye-catching colt from his second crop.

He is out of the unraced mare Lady Rain, daughter of the four time Gr.1 winning sprinter/miler Sacred Falls who is in the very early days of his career as a broodmare sire and what an encouraging start he has made... the Gr.3 winning two-year-old Revengeance amongst the first ten winners produced by his daughters with another three being stakes placed.

Lady Rain is out of the excellent producer Sitting On A Hill, a Gr.3 placed winner whose five winners include the stakes winners Lord Turbo and Alcadesa.

A full sister to the stakes placed eight time winner Mr Benny Hill, Sitting On A Hill is a granddaughter of the stakes placed Dee Bee Lass whose darm Darling Lass did such a great job with her ten winners.

The Gr.1 New Zealand St Leger winner Lumley Lass, the four time Group winner and the Gr.2 galloper Silver Darling were amongst her foals and she is also ancestress of the stakes winners Senator (Gr.1 Auckland Cup), Master McGinty, Mr Starstruck, Royal Sonata, Wishful Thinking, Starkay, All Over Bosanova, Super Lifeline, Mandate, Dating and Maritimo.

This colt is bred on a 3 X 4 cross of Sword Of State's superstar grandsire Redoute's Choice, a horse well and truly proving his worth as a line-breeding force with 20 of the 283 winners carrying a cross being stakes winners including the Gr.1 sprinter Schwarz.

He is also line-bred to Best In Show... one of the great modern day line-breeding influences, she is the fourth dam of Redoute's Choice and the grandam of Try My Best; the sire line from which Sacred Falls hails.

Vetted up with A plus and all costings below include insurance, Karaka Million nomination, airfreight to Australia, and NZ studbook clearance and of course with the exchange rate we have him cheaper than is down on Sale price.

He will be arriving Sunday evening and will come straight to our farm for a couple of weeks before heading to the breaking in farm.

We would love to have you involved in this very lovely NZ bred horse.

Profondo / Monet Colt

Australia

A horse that slipped through the cracks, but was one we had on our list. We couldn't believe our luck when we managed to get him at such a great price.

We had Profondo on our radar, loved him as a racehorse and loved him as a type, and this guy measured up on all our lists. A lovely strong colt with an impressive walk and attitude, hes a horse we cant wait to start training.

This is a particularly handsome son of the great Deep Impact, the Arrowfield Stud bred Profondo caught the eye from the start - fetching $1.9 million as a Magic Millions yearling.

Straight into form as a spring three-year-old, the son of the fast and early maturing Gr.3 winning Redoute's Choice mare Honesty Prevails had created a big impression with three trial victories prior to his Kensington debut.

Despite covering ground from a tricky gate, Profondo proved too strong in the 1400m maiden - a win impressive enough to see him start favourite in the Gr.3 Gloaming Stakes at just his second start.

Only just beaten after racing greenly, Profondo showed himself to be a rare talent by stepping up to the 2000m of the Spring Champion Stakes and winning that Gr.1 event at just his third outing!

Not having a great deal of luck at subsequent outings, getting colty as he got older, Profondo left us with a taste of what might've been but now we are lucky enough to see what his progeny can achieve.

And our stable is blessed to have secured one his very good looking first season sons, a striking bay colt whose unraced dam Monet is a daughter of Street Cry's wonderful son Per Incanto.

There is a touch of the freakish in the Street Cry genes - he sired Zenyatta in the northern hemisphere and Winx locally and keeps popping up in the pedigrees of topliners with Per Incanto being the dam sire of the world's fastest horse Ka Ying Rising.

And amongst his Per Incanto's nine Gr.1 winners (Jimmysstar his latest headliner) is the Railway Handicap winner Monica - full sister to Monet.

This is a wonderful Australasian family continually represented by stakes winners. Monet's Gr.2 winning grandam Balmacara produced the Magic Millions 3Y0 Trophy winner Jamieson Valley whilst her Listed winning half-sister Vedodara is dam of the Gr.1 Avondale Cup winner Sharvasti and the Gr.3 gallopers Bhandara and Shastri.

The Gr.1 Stradbroke Handicap winner Linton is also a member of this prolific family, as is the Macau based dual Gr.1 winner Bring Me Speed and the northern hemisphere elite level winners Barathea, Brocade and Gossamer.

As well as the Group winners Semari, Tourbillon Diamond (Hong Kong), Heatherly, Red Rioja, Free At Last, Desert Style, Zabar and Knights Realm.

This colt's pedigree is an exciting one, inclusive of a cross of the outstanding mare Best In Show - the fourth dam of Redoute's Choice and grandam of Per Incanto's high achieving second dam sire Try My Best.

Within five generations alone (as far as records are kept), those two stallions have combined in the pedigrees of 104 stakes winners, 21 of whom are Gr.1 horses including Per Incanto's Levin Classic winner Bonham... as well as Incentivize, Giga Kick, Joliestar, Autumn Boy and Sacred Falls.

An exciting opportunity to buy into an up and coming new Stallion who we think will really make his mark.

Vetted up with an A plus rating, and all costings below include insurance, Karaka million nominations, airfreight to Australia, and NZ studbook clearance.

He will be flying in Sunday evening and will come straight to our farm for a couple of weeks before heading to the breaking in farm.

Get involved in this exciting opportunity and join the team.
